Viki Stiebert appointed as New Head of College

UWC Maastricht has a new Head of College! From next school year, Viki Stiebert will be the director of our school.

Viki has a dual nationality (German/New Zealand) and extensive experience in international education, including leading roles at schools in New Zealand, Switzerland and Panama. Her current job is director of the international school in Bergen, Norway. She has a strong passion for educational innovation and wants to position UWC Maastricht as an international learning hub within Europe and the global UWC movement. She very much believes in the role that education can play for peace and a sustainable future, which perfectly links with the mission of our school.

With her track record and positive mentality, the board of UWC Maastricht is convinced that Viki will thrive as the new Head of College. She will start in August 2024 and will move to Maastricht. Viki will succeed Lodewijk van Oord, who is leaving UWC Maastricht at the end of the school year, after 7 years.
