Leila Belkacem – The Imapct of UWC
My name is Leila, I am from Western Sahara. I lived my entire life in Algerian refugee camps, where leaving is impossible, but is the dream. I worked hard while attending boarding schools in Algeria to win a scholarship to study in The Netherlands, a dream that for many years seemed impossible. After taking two gap years, I am now studying civil engineering in the Netherlands.
