Curiosity in action at UWC Maastricht: International Women’s Day ’26

One room filled with students and supporters, conversations crossing generations and experiences. That is how we marked International Women’s Day 2026, bringing together our Female Empowerment Network and our students to learn from and with each other!

Together, we joined a masterclass by Suzanne Leclaire, founder of The Curiosophy Collective. Through interactive moments, we explored what happens when curiosity disappears and how it shapes the way we listen and relate to others. More importantly, we practised bringing it back, in conversation with each other. Different generations and backgrounds, side by side, asking questions, challenging assumptions and opening up new perspectives. That is where the real impact happens!

And this is also our Female Empowerment network in practice: not just support, but connection. Not just giving, but engaging. Creating space where young women and experienced professionals meet as equals and grow together.
