At UWC Maastricht, we believe that embracing diversity and fostering understanding is the key to a harmonious world. To that end, we invited community members who are practicing / observing the Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist and Hindu faith into the classroom of Y7 students.

These individuals shared their wisdom, experiences, and unique perspectives with our students, allowing them to delve into the rich tapestry of different religious traditions firsthand. Students asked questions like “Why did you decide to convert to your religion?” and “Is there anything you can do that God will not forgive?” to “Will you not get sick when you walk barefoot?” The session inspired them to think for themselves about what they believe and how they can appreciate other peoples’ beliefs.
At UWC Maastricht, we firmly believe in the power of education to shape a brighter future. By fostering an inclusive environment that embraces different faiths and cultures, we equip our students with the tools they need to become compassionate and globally-minded leaders.
