UWC Maastricht school building

The new school year begins!

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all schools in the Netherlands were closed for a period between mid-March and early June 2020. At UWC Maastricht, all students were offered remote learning and the educational process continued in a different but productive way. Our students, staff and parents showed an incredible commitment and dedication throughout this unprecedented and extraordinary situation.

I am delighted to announce that these government restrictions have now been lifted, and that UWC Maastricht community is back on campus for the start of the new academic year. There are a number of additional measures in place to ensure the safety of all members of our community. This includes social distancing rules for adults, additional cleaning and the postponing of events that bring together unusually large groups of people.

Students and parents: we will continue to inform you via our usual communication channels. Please monitor your student and parent portals for the latest updates.

13For new families considering to join UWC Maastricht: if you are still seeking places for one or more children at UWC Maastricht, please contact our Admissions Team sooner rather than later.

I want to thank all members of the UWC Maastricht community for their ongoing support, as we have been navigating our way through unknown territories since the start of the pandemic in March. We will continue to keep our course, calmly but vigilantly, and ready to adapt when necessary. I am looking forward to a great term.
