Temporary Management Assistant for the Head of College

UWC Maastricht is seeking a temporary Management Assistant (illness cover) for the Head of College (Director).

In this role, you will offer high-level secretarial, administrative and organizational support in a dynamic and international environment.

Please note: We can only appoint local staff with a valid work permit.

Your tasks include:

  • Managing the agenda, correspondence, and scheduling appointments
  • Supporting meetings (minutes, documents, reporting)
  • Coordinating travel arrangements
  • Maintaining professional contacts with external stakeholders (e.g. Ministry of OC&W, LVO, Mosa Lira)
  • Supporting other administrative functions if required

Your profile

  • Excellent in English (C2), fluency in Dutch is an advantage
  • Experience in management support, office IT tools, and data management
  • Skilled in drafting reports and handling confidential information
  • Background in HR/Finance or knowledge of educational/boarding institutions is an advantage

Terms of Employment / Remuneration

  • Temporary 0.8 FTE contract of employment under Dutch law (illness cover, start as soon as possible)
  • The package will be commensurate with the responsibilities of the position, according to the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Secondary Education (‘CAO VO’). The applicable pay scale is scale 6 in the CAO-VO, between € 2554,- and € 3451,- gross per month for a full time position, depending on relevant experience
  • Participation in the school’s pension plan via the ABP Retirement/Pension Fund
  • To be able to work in the Netherlands, a (foreign) staff member must be able to successfully apply for a Dutch VOG. UWCM will assist in the application process for residence and work permits and VOG.
