Teaching Assistant in Primary School
The job:
We need a new Teaching Assistant. The vacancy is part time for 24 to 36 hours per week (0.6 FTE – 0.9 FTE), with our students in Primary School.
Every Teaching Assistant assists the teacher(s) in the team in delivering the curriculum and helping with day to day tasks in taking care for the students. The weekly schedule is agreed on with the team and the Director of Primary school and some flexibility is needed.

Education degree and professional experience
- Completed professional degree as a Teaching Assistant in Primary Education is desired.
- Proven succesful experience in working with (primary) students is required.

- Empathy and understanding of multilingual learners and awareness of the variables at play with internationally mobile students.
- An ability to collaborate with class teachers.
- Willingness to learn and flexibility in work hours.

Terms of Employment
- You will get a temporary contract of employment under Dutch law, initially until the end of the Academic year. Starting as soon as possible.
- The package will be commensurate with the responsibilities of the position, according to the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Primary Education (‘CAO PO’). The applicable pay scale is scale 6 in the CAO-VO, between € 2554,- and € 3451,- gross per month for a full time position, depending on relevant experience
- Participation in the school’s pension plan via the ABP Retirement/Pension Fund
- To be able to work in the Netherlands, a (foreign) staff member must be able to successfully apply for a Dutch VOG. UWCM will assist in the application process for residence and work permits and VOG.
