How do we prepare students for a world shaped by AI? At UWC Maastricht, we believe it starts with investing in our staff!

25 colleagues have come together to explore how AI can—and should—transform education. With the guidance of Wim Hoogedeure, we’ve been diving into the ethical, practical and pedagogical dimensions of bringing AI into the classroom. As one of our teachers, Chris Yeager, put it:
“I’m excited to see where we get with this initiative. You know you’re onto something important when teachers make time in their very busy day to join.”

This goes beyond learning to use new tools. It’s about shaping a future where education remains deeply human: creative, curious and connected. We’re proud of this dedicated group of educators who are embracing change, asking bold questions and helping shape a shared vision for the role of AI in learning.
