UWC Maastricht has a full time vacancy for a caretaker/concierge, who would love to work in our vibrant community, is hands-on, flexible and an excellent team worker.
We need a new colleague per August 1, 2024.
This role will be part of the school’s facility team. The team consists of caretakers, receptionists and a Facilities Manager. You will have a fixed schedule during the week but due to the nature of the job, the work hours can also be on weekends or over holidays.
The tasks are a varied package of a combination of small maintenance work, tasks around security and safety, Service to staff and students and some administrative tasks.
The successful profile & qualifications
- Proven work experience as a caretaker/concierge or similar role
- Friendly approach to people of all ages and backgrounds
- Excellent team worker
- Technical skills
- Adaptable to new responsibilities
- Basic English speaking is required
- A drivers licence B is required
- A valid BHV and first aid certificate is desirable
Terms of Employment / Remuneration
You will get a temporary contract of employment under Dutch law. The initial contract is for 1 year and can be extended or made permanent after that.
The package is aligned with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Secondary Education (‘CAO VO’). The pay scale in CAO VO is scale 5 (maximum of € 3110,- gross per month ex 8% holiday allowance + 8.33% end of year allowance).
Participation in the school’s pension plan via the ABP Retirement/Pension Fund.
Location: UWC Maastricht, the Netherlands.
To be able to work in the Netherlands, a (foreign) staff member must be able to successfully apply for:
Residence and work permits for the Netherlands.
A Dutch VOG (certificate of good conduct).
UWCM will assist in the application process for residence and work permits and VOG.
